Permanent Collection
The two floors of the Foundation of doubt are filled with works and documents related to the Fluxus movement and infused with its spirit. They were brought together by Ben and Gino Di Maggio, with the complicity of diversified collectors and artists. Numerous display cases present Fluxus documents and productions. Consultation and reading tables, along with a screen showing Fluxus films and historic performances, complete the permanent exhibition, which is actually a means of “putting into play the Fluxus spirit”, a scenarization highlighted by the artists brought together … and orchestrated by Ben. All in all, works by more than 50 artists fill the two floors and the staircases of the Foundation of doubt. While Érik Satie, Marcel Duchamp and John Cage stand out and are presented as founding fathers, other artists are solicited during periods of temporary exhibitions. Large-scale projects are likewise showcased: by Wolf Vostell (1974), 12 astro-gastronomical trap paintings by Daniel Spoerri (1975); major works by Nam June Paik, Allan Kaprow, a creation by Yoko Ono...
